Quicktime 7.6 Bug Update

March 13th, 2009

We have been unable to come up with a solution for the PS3 bug in QT 7.6.  You can still make PS3 Compatible files via QT Export, but we have not had success with QT 7.6 via Compressor.  This issue is specific to Compressor, and thus affects the way CRAM works. Older Versions of QT still work, and as far as we can tell there are no other known issues with QT 7.6 relative to Compressor.

Quicktime 7.6 bug

March 5th, 2009

We’ve recently discovered a bug that alters the quicktime header data in the Playstation 3 presets that makes a file error come up when you try to play back videos encoded using the Playstation 3 setting.  As far as we know its on the PS3 setting that has been affected and we are working on an update to fix this issue.

If you are still running on older version of quicktime the issue does not exist.

Final Cut Studio 1 Support

November 25th, 2008

We are in the process of porting CRAM over to Final Cut Studio 1 and should have that ready to ship in a week or so as well.  Some of the presets may not be compatible with FCS1, so we’re sorting that out now. The good news is that everyone who buys CRAM will get access to both the FCS1 and FCS2 installers so you’ll be set should you upgrade.  We’ll be posting a list of what is and isn’t compatible as we finish debugging.  The one bummer is that FCS1 or rather the earlier versions of Compressor do not support sub-grouping, so it becomes a bit of an organizational nightmare to add over 300 additional presets.
